The drug Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream is used to treat athlete’s foot and irritated sweat rash.
The following ingredients are found in the cream:
A weak “topical steroid,” hydrocortisone acetate lessens skin inflammation, swelling, redness, and itching.
The antifungal miconazole nitrate acts by eliminating both the fungus that causes the infection and some of the possible accompanying bacteria.
Sweat rash, also known as candida intertrigo or “thrush of the skin folds,” is a painful, itchy rash that appears in locations where the skin rubs against itself, such as below or between the breasts, under the arms, on top of the thighs, or in the crotch.
A fungal skin infection called athlete’s foot can hurt, itch, and flake between the toes, on the bottoms of the feet, or on the sides. An antifungal drug without hydrocortisone acetate may be more suitable if you have a fungal infection without any signs of inflammation. If you are unsure, see a physician or a pharmacist.
